PNWER holds quarterly conference calls for members task force, creating an open forum to share best practices, develop relationships and discuss key issues that impact the region.

Goals

  • Promote resiliency for the region through greater communication
  • Promote improved infrastructure and community resilience
  • Bring together the PNWER jurisdictions the create a strong network for regional resilience
History

In 2005 the CIP managers throughout the PNWER member jurisdictions were invited to meet with each other to discuss current infrastructure protection initiatives.  These monthly calls enabled jurisdictions to learn from one another and establish CIP related plans and positions.  The CIP Task Force met in person in 2007 at Microsoft in Redmond, WA. This was the first time the CIP managers from the states and provinces were able to discuss regional coordination in person.  Since that meeting, the conference calls have continued on a quarterly basis and several informal meetings have occurred throughout the region.
